Congratulations to SISEC Alumni Kiril Kabaonv on defeating the London Knights in OT and winning the 2012 Memorial Cup! Kiril skated with SISEC during the 2009-2010 season, and was selected 65th overall by the NY Islanders in that June's NHL Entry Draft.
Swiss International Sports & Education Centre (SISEC) is an International Midget Hockey Academy based in Calgary, Alberta. SISEC has players from all over the world including; Austria, Russia, Ukraine, New Zealand, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Slovenia, Netherlands, USA and Canada. SISEC provides a professional atmosphere and experience for all of our student-athletes, only a SISEC player would ever be able to experience. Proud members of the CSSHL and NAMHL leagues.
I personally think that it's a little bit of an overstatement to call a person that has only been to about one or two of our practises a SISEC alumni. Alumni in sports are commonly defined as players that have played with a team for a season and have contributed to the team during this period of time.
ReplyDeleteI do, however, congratulate Kirill Kabanov, and not Kiril Kabaonv (just to get it right), on winning the memorial cup and making the NY Islanders draft.
