The SISEC Selects started the weekend off right, thumping Loydminster 6-2. Brodie Saywell tallied first just over six minutes into the opening frame with assists going to Mason Mazur and Defenceman Scott Robinson. Chris Breese followed up not 4 minutes later with Marshall Skapski picking up the helper. The scoring relented until Arseniy Ivanov blasted one in with Mason Mazur picking up his second assist of the evening. Shortly thereafter, Brodie Saywell scored his second goal of the game. The third period saw two goals for each team with the Selects Ivan Leuppi and Emerson Pugh adding to the victory.
SISEC @ Strathcona Oct 19 20:30
SISEC would attempt to keep the weekend going on a winning note Saturday evening in Strathcona. The Selects opened up a big lead, but had some trouble hanging on. Strathcona scored the tying goal halfway through the third where it ended as a 5-5 draw. Mason Mazur and Ivan Leuppi had 2 goal campaigns with Tyler Besner potting the other Selects goal. Quinten Issigonis contributed with a 3 assist outing.
SISEC @ Beaumont Oct 20
The Selects would attempt to go undefeated on their Northern retreat on Sunday afternoon in Beaumont. DJ Doak put together a 2 goal game, and although the Selects jumped out in front in the first period, Strathcona broke a 2-2 tie late in the third period, and that's the way it would end as the Braves squeaked out a hard fought 3-2 victory.
