SISEC SELECTS Oct 21-27

(Wednesday, Oct 23) Springbank, AB--

SISEC Blue made the quick trip to Springbank to take on Edge Maroon.  Kyle Dumba was able to keep Edge in the game until they would take the lead and never look back with less than five minutes remaining in the third period.  SISEC peppered Dumba with 38 shots, but he would turn away all but two, goals by Vincent Dekumbis and Arrigo Burgener.

With the loss, SISEC Blue falls to 8-3-0 and look to bounce back against Edge Gold on Friday, Nov. 1.

(Oct 26-27) Calgary, AB

SISEC White would welcome the Edge Prep team for back to back games over the weekend.  Looking up at the standings, SISEC relished the challenge of taking down one of the top teams in the CSSHL.

The offense ran dry for SISEC on this weekend, however.  Saturday afternoon, despite holding Edge's potent offense to just 2 goals, thanks to some stingy goaltending from Mikkel Wik, the Selects could not get the puck passed goalie Malcolm Walilko who turned away all 26 shots.

Sunday Afternoon provided a similar result.  The game ran scoreless into the third period, but Edge would break the tie in the third and go on to win 3-0.

SISEC White will try to get back into the win column on Wednesday Oct. 30th as they welcome Banff to Winsport Arena.
