Game Summary: SISEC @ Banff Hockey Academy

On Sunday we packed up and headed out to beautiful Banff, AB to play the banff hockey academy. Our boys were prepared early but overall we were overconfident. It's tough not to catch yourself looking at the CSSHL standings and not fall into that trap but we definitely fell victim to that. after a slow start and less than average work ethic we were down after a few bad bounces. Some questionable calls hurt our chances of trying to gain momentum and we dug ourselves in a hole that was tough to climb out of. We tied the game but fell short in a shoot out. It wasn't our night and it was a huge learning experience for SISEC. Im glad a game like this happened early in the season and not later. we can harness what happened and understand that you cannot take any team lightly and you must play a game for the full 60 mins and play like champions every shift, every night, to win hockey games.
