Game Summary: SISEC @ Edge Gold

Undoubtedly our biggest game of the year vs edge gold was on Saturday night. This game was so important because edge is arguably our biggest rival and the game not only counted in the CSSHL but also the NAMHL. Our boys came out flying sticking to our game plan. Edge became frustrated quickly and took a lot of undiscipined penalties in which we took the utmost advantage of going up 5 to 1 after the first 2 periods of play. Before the third period I wanted to ensure to the boys that the game was far from over and that the refs were going to look for any excuse to even the penalty dispare up and would penalize us quite easily if we gave them the slightest reason. This endednup coming true as we Ended up having 9 minor penalties in the 3 rd and edge captialized and stormed back gaing momentum from the goals. We ended up hanging on and in the end we got the win which is the most important. It was a lesson to our boys on how much taking penalties creates huge momentum swings.
